SciTech Challenge 2020

The journey of technical validation began at the SciTech Challenge 2020, co-hosted by the Construction Industry Council (CIC) and HKSTP. Competing in the Open Group, Varadise secured 1st Runner Up for its innovative sensor-integration technology. This early milestone proved that its solutions could meet the professional engineering standards required for practical deployment on live, high-pressure construction sites, effectively bridging the gap between industry R&D and field application.

GeoSpatial Challenge 2021

By 2021, the company’s technical scope expanded from site-specific applications to the broader urban fabric. This led to a participation in the GeoSpatial Challenge 2021, a high-intensity competition hosted by the Development Bureau (DEVB) and the Lands Department (LandsD).

Securing the Champion title in the Open Category served as a transformative milestone. By demonstrating a deep mastery of complex spatial datasets and 3D technologies, Varadise proved its platform could support large-scale facility planning and city-wide asset monitoring—a core requirement for the Smart City initiatives then being drafted by the Hong Kong government.

New World Innovation Challenge

Technical excellence was further tested by the demands of the private sector in late 2021 at the New World Innovation Challenge. Organized by New World Group, one of the region’s most influential property developers, this challenge sought solutions capable of fundamentally improving real estate productivity.

Varadise was honored with the Most Innovative Award, validating the “commercial grit” of its technology. This accolade served as a vital bridge, proving that the company’s original concepts could translate into immediate operational value for Hong Kong’s largest private-sector stakeholders.

The Professional Milestone: 2022 Enterprise Leadership

This formative period of validation concluded at the 2022 Excellence in Innovation Enterprise Awards. Organized by BUSINESS INNOVATOR under the theme “Beyond Creative, Be Innovative,”Varadise was distinguished as “The Best Professional Construction Technology Enterprise of the Year.” This title marked the culmination of a three-year evolution. It signaled to the market that Varadise had successfully transitioned into a mature professional authority, setting the gold standard for digital integration within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry.
